Your privacy is important to me. Heck, *my* privacy is important to me, too.
This site is writen and maintained by me and me alone. No one pays me to harvest information about you, your email, your IP address, or any information about you.
I do have statistics running on the site. The data gathered in the logs includes your IP address, the page that linked in and the page you visited. No individual logs are viewed. The data is used by programs installed on the site to produce pretty graphs, nothing more.
I like to know what pictures are cropping up on the search engines, and what else is attracting people here. Simply having nice pictures is not enough to get eyes on the page -- I rely on google and other search engines to index, rank and eventually send people my way. The information gleaned from the traffic reports guide me to make the site more popular.
You probably noticed the google ads, too. They are context sensitive in that the ads shown reflect what I have put on the page. They have nothing to do with you directly (except that you came here, probably because of the content.) The ads are a desperate attempt to get a few pennies to defray the cost of maintaining the site (hosted by inmotionhosting.com, who have been pretty good so far).
If you use the community or gallery, I suggest that you do not display your email address. (As admin, I can see the address if I need/want to contact you.) You can spell out your email in your signature (like matt -at- wrentit .dot. com) so that automated email address harvesters don't find it. This is why you won't find my email as a link on a page anywhere.
Some great anti-spam information is at spamprimer.com, written by the author of This is true, which I also recommend.
